WhatsApp Messaging Policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
How 1TechSpace and its customers use the WhatsApp Business Platform: opt-in, opt-out, permitted content and compliance.
1. Overview
1TechSpace's WaaS product and related integrations let businesses send and receive WhatsApp messages through the WhatsApp Business Platform. This policy sets the rules that apply to all messaging sent through our services.
2. Opt-in
- Businesses must obtain clear, affirmative opt-in from each person before sending business-initiated messages.
- The opt-in must state that the person agrees to receive WhatsApp messages from that business and what type of messages to expect.
- Opt-in can be collected on a website form, at a point of sale, over the phone, via an SMS, or when the user starts a chat with the business.
- Businesses must keep a record of when and how opt-in was obtained.
3. Opt-out
- Every recipient can opt out at any time by replying STOP (or similar) or by telling the business.
- Opt-outs are honoured promptly and the number is suppressed from further marketing and notification messages.
- Businesses must never message a person again for those purposes after opt-out unless they opt in afresh.
4. Permitted content
- Transactional and service messages such as order updates, bookings, receipts, reminders and support replies.
- Marketing messages, only to recipients who have opted in, using Meta-approved templates.
- Replies to customer-initiated conversations within the 24-hour customer service window.
5. Prohibited content
- Spam, scams, phishing, misleading or deceptive content.
- Illegal goods or services, adult content, gambling, tobacco, weapons, drugs and other items restricted by the WhatsApp Business and Commerce Policies.
- Harassment, hate speech, threats or content that violates others' privacy or rights.
- Messages sent to purchased, scraped or otherwise non-consenting contact lists.
6. Quality and enforcement
WhatsApp monitors message quality using signals such as blocks and reports. We may suspend a customer's messaging, throttle volume or terminate access where messaging breaches this policy, our Terms of Service, or Meta's policies, or puts our WhatsApp access at risk.
7. Data handling
Message content and phone numbers are processed only to deliver the messaging service and are handled according to our Privacy Policy and Data Policy. WhatsApp's own Business Terms and Privacy Policy also apply to messages delivered over its platform.
8. Report abuse
If you received an unwanted message sent through our services, email contact@1techspace.in with the sender's details and a screenshot and we will investigate.
